Sometimes we don't do holidays, sometimes all we can do is us....
And sometimes this is us.
It's not roses and heart-shaped sugar cookies or a fancy romantic night on the town.
It's hard, it's exhausting, it's humbling, it's a little bit scary.... but it's us.
Looks like a beautiful love filled evening. Sorry it was spent in a not so beautiful place. I hope your hubs gets better fast. We have spent many holidays in that same spot. The fun part is you can do a second Valentines when he gets out : ) Praying for you
Oh geri I sure do love you! love you both for that matter :D hope Jas gets feeling better soon, hang in there girl your love story will make a super cool movie someday with a very happy ending!
No fun. Darnit. But you guys are really cute. Like really! And these pictures show more love on Valentines than any stupid box of chocolates or flowers that wither away! You guys are awesome and I hope Jas gets better soon!!!
hey Ger, the number one pic has to be the first one of me with my belly stickin out and the lighting really brings out my firey mustache! haha keeeping it real is it the best. I said. Didn't want everyone to think I look like a rockstar all the time.
You two are amazing.. I found you via The Daybook and have donated $30 to the team Jason cause.. I really hope you raise enough money and that the baby making/lung transplanting goes well xxx
This really struck a chord with me! Oh wait, I should introduce myself! My name is Amber, and I happened upon your blog! My daughter is 8 months old and has a very serious congenital heart disease (we haven't been able to take her home from the ICU yet:( I've been grappling with what other people have-healthy babies, time as a family out of the hospital, small stresses instead of huge ones-and what I don't. However, your one sentence of-and I love us, so its alright with me-it is so true! I am going to remember this whenever I feel jealous of what other families have-thanks for helping put things in perspective for me:) I wish you both the best of luck and will be sending prayers your way!
I spent almost 8mth in hospital, spending a birthday, christmas & new year in a bed. At first it really got me down, but the love of my family made the day as special as always!
